Sometime last year, I received a new bottle of perfume. But not just any bottle. First of all, it was pink: a good start. It was also cat-shaped, with bejewelled eyes, and had the letter “M” on its collar. Anyone who knows anything about me would have been able to tell you that I very well could have designed the bottle for myself. And the fragrance? Meow! smelled just as good as it looked; just sweet enough for my taste, but not overbearingly so.
This year, Killer Queen arrived in the mail. In a beautiful red box, the majestic-looking vial left quite an impression the first time I looked at it. But its juice is what really had me hooked at first whiff: a perfectly rich blend of sweet berries and lavish florals that almost made me look forward to beautiful fall foliage and crisper weather. Almost.
One thing is certain: as far as celeb-inspired scents are concerned, Ms. Perry definitely has my vote.
