Chances are, you’ve probably seen a video of a similar lipstick by Kailijumei. I’m a sucker for a product that works well AND looks great, too, so I knew I would likely own one of these transparent lippies with a flower in them… eventually.
Eventually came when I was shopping at Don Quijote in Osaka (as one does) last April, and I spotted the Jellykiss version for ¥1,200 (around $15 CAD). Needless to say, it went straight into my shopping basket.
My choice: white flower / litchi flavour. As if being a lipstick with a flower in it wasn’t cool enough, it also goes on clear and then turns a custom shade of translucent pink just for you.
And it delivered, too! The shade it turned on my lips was very flattering, and subtle enough that I can apply it without a mirror. I really like the clear tube, too, although an opaque one would maybe make it look a little more luxurious.
Still, this lipstick is a great choice for everyday wear and very affordable, too.
I posted a little application video to Instagram, which I’m adding here:
Jellykiss Flower Tint Lip is available at Rakuten Global Market for ¥1,296. They ship overseas!
Have you tried a flower lipstick before?
